So which is your favorite of all Iguassu Falls hotels?

Our favorite Iguassu Falls hotels? We’ve lodged in some and visited many more on our frequent visits there. There are hundreds of them in the three cities surrounding the Iguassu Falls but we’ve picked for you a few we consider really worthwhile for different reasons.

Picking the right one among Iguassu Falls hotels is perhaps the single most important decision when planning your Iguassu Falls trip.

If we add to this the fact that the The Iguassu Falls are located in the Triple Frontier area and surrounded by three nearby cities (Puerto Iguazu, Foz do Iguassu and Ciudad del Este) in three different countries (Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay), this decision can also be somewhat more difficult.

But it doesn’t have to if you fallow our advice. These cities are a short distance from each other but moving between them implies crossing frontiers and immigration checkpoints, something that’s better avoiding unless you have visas for all three countries.

So our first advice on your Iguassu Falls hotels picking: lodge in the city where your flight arrives or, the other way around, fly to the city where you want to lodge.

The second advice is to read our Air Travel to Iguassu Falls and Visa and Vaccination Requirements pages so you have all the relevant facts before picking your hotel.

Since there are three cities involved on your Iguassu Falls trip, we grouped our lodging suggestions by city. The first one is Puerto Iguazu.

Iguassu Falls Hotels in Puerto Iguazu (Argentina)

Puerto Iguazu is the smallest of all three cities surrounding the Iguassu Falls and the only one that depends exclusively on tourism to survive. You can notice this right away when visiting the city, Argentineans are the most tourist-friendly people you will find in Iguassu Falls... and they are certainly well prepared to attend you.

Good hotels and restaurants to pick from, professional guides that speak fluently your language and are really knowledgeable of local places, even the police have a positive attitude towards foreign visitors, something that is rarely seen in Latin America!

There is no doubt, Argentineans really want to attract travelers to their bay and this is the single most important reason why we recommend you Iguassu Falls hotels in Puerto Iguazu. If you want to read some interesting facts about Puerto Iguazu and Argentineans please move to our Facts about Argentina page.

And so here are our first picks to recommend you about Iguassu Falls hotels in Puerto Iguazu (click on the links to read our detailed reviews):

You will love this resort and lodging here can save you lots of money without sacrificing high quality accommodation standards.

We firmly recommend it!

Saint George Hotel Saint George Hotel The Saint George is among the Iguassu Falls hotels with the best location on the Argentinean side. Its location puts you only across the street from Puerto Iguazu's bus terminal which runs a convenient public bus service to the Iguassu Falls every half an hour. In addition to good location the hotel has gone through recent renovation of a great part of its rooms, so if you pick the right ones it’s a great value to stay in.
