We had a brilliant time and can thoroughly recommend Lucas as a private guide in the Iguassu Falls region. He was reliable, knowledgeable and committed to imparting that knowledge in an enthusiastic and enjoyable fashion. He was also highly flexible and prepared to help with other needs, e.g. trips to the bank, supermarket and pharmacy. He met the two of us at the airport, 5 days later delivered us safely back to that airport and in the meantime took care of everything - what more do you want on holiday!

Dear Lucas,
We are now back from our Antarctica cruise. Our experience at Iguassa Falls was fantastic, our only mistake was not to book for 3 days! Thank you for all the effort and expertise you put into our visit, it made an enjoyable trip into a memorable one. I can only recommend you most highly to anyone who wishes to see the falls at their best.

Dear Lucas:
Thank you so much for making our trip to Argentina so memorable. The time we spent with you at the falls was perfect. You said we would have a good time and we certainly did. We only wished we had one more day, there is so much to see.
I told you in our first email correspondence that it was your web site that got me hooked. It's so clean and easy to use, filled with wonderful information. You were so helpful in all our emailing, ( I must have sent at least a dozen) and I could tell you sincerely wanted us to have the best time possible. No high pressure, just a genuine desire to show us the best that Iguazu has to offer.
Your fees were very reasonable, we were delighted with every penny we paid. We would highly recommend you to anyone looking to capture the true essence of Iguazu, especially in a short period of time.
I have also enclosed a couple photos taken in Buenos Aires with our guide Esteban. Thank you for referring him to us. I know we would not have enjoyed Buenos Aires or the Falls nearly as much if we had tried to do it alone.
Please use this letter as a reference for your service. I would welcome anyone who would like to inquire regarding your services.
Good luck with your business and don't forget the three S's.
God Bless You,

My husband and I traveled to Iguassu on November 18 and 19. Given our short window to visit the Iguassu Falls and surrounding area, I myself was in search of a guide to maximize our time spent there. Mr. Antuna was recommended to me by a private tour business in Buenos Aires that handled our travel arrangements. What a marvelous surprise we had in encountering Mr. Antuna! From the moment I began e-mail correspondence regarding our travel interests and questions, Mr. Antuna was nothing short of thoughtful, responsive, and quick. These traits he only built upon during our two days together. Despite a torrential thunderstorm that characterized our day at Iguassu, he remained good-natured, quick-witted, and informative. He knows his way through the park, the tri-frontier area, and its history and culture like few guides we have encountered. His English, learned at an American school in Lima and later working in Los Angeles, would put most Americans to shame. All told, we came away from our visited enlightened by the area's natural splendor, delighted by Mr. Antuna's company, and amazed by how much we saw and how efficiently we saw it, given the calibre of service that Misted Falls Vacation offers.
You would be remiss in looking elsewhere for a more competent guide, in short. Buen viaje,

Do you want to maximize your time at Iquazu Falls? Do you want to really explore and experience this natural, God-given wonder of the world? Then hire Lucas as your personal guide. His extensive knowledge of the Falls and the various activities and other places to see in the area made him an invaluable asset to us during our stay there.
His website was particularly helpful in our vacation planning. He was sensitive to our needs and requests, and worked closely with us to develop an itinerary in accordance with our interests and desired activity level. We greatly appreciated his quick responses to our many emails.
We are very glad that he was our guide while we were there and would recommend him to everyone.

Lucas was an excellent, enthusiastic guide. He knows and shared with me many little treasure spots and bits of lore that I certainly wouldn't have discovered on my own. I especially appreciated his flexibility, which was necessary when the weather changes, when strikes occur, when political problems almost shut down the bridge between Brazil and Argentina. I even got to interact with smugglers, customs officials, and army personel involved in the ongoing onion smuggling problems between the 3 countries. It was all very fascinating. And quite safe and civil, no one is interested in hurting tourists it seems. In fact, even the smugglers will tell you what's going on and chat with you about their work. Without Lucas's help, we probably wouldn't have explored the sights in Paraguay. I'm glad we did however. Paraguay and the Paraguayan people are a delight. Really, nothing we did, and no one we encountered on this trip scarred me in any way; and everything about the trip was fascinating. Oh, by the way, Lucas knows fantastic places to eat, and in all variety of price ranges, with or without entertainment, amongst or away from the tourists. Be sure to try the iced mate and herbs in Ciudad del Este. By the way, not everything in Ciudad del Este is junk, Lucas can show where to buy anything, and very nice quality items for great prices. I picked up some telephone, camera, computer, and MP3 items that I'm very pleased with. I had originally planned to buy some items in Panama, but the exact same items were cheaper in Paraguay. This may be helpful if you are trying to figure out where to arrive: I flew into Puerto Iguazu and although both aerolineas Argentina and Lan are on time and efficient, they both very strictly charge you for overweight baggage when you leave Buenos Aires. They are less strict on the way back. A way to avoid this is to put your heavier items in your carry-on bag. Both of those airlines are very overpriced. GOL has a cheap flights into Foz Iguacu, but it can have numerous stops. If you want to see Asuncion, there is a very cheap roundtrip flight from Buenos Aires to Asuncion on GOL, then a very cheap roundtrip flight from Asuncion to Ciudad del Este on Tam Murcosur. Go to their websights or to Sidestep.com. I hope that this is helpful.

Lucas,
I return home to San Francisco full of great memories of my exciting trip to Iguazu and the time we had together. From the very first email reply I received from you I knew I had found an honest man and meeting you in person proved me right. I am so glad to have found you on the internet!
Your attention to my needs and creating the customized trip for me was wonderful. I did not want to be in the middle of large tour group and get rushed from point to point - and the schedule you planned for my 2 days was perfect. And I am so glad that you recommended the Iguazu Jungle Lodge for my stay - it was by far better than other hotels/motels I saw there - I loved the location, great service, excellent facilities and friendly staff. Highly recommended for all your future clients.
You know that I absolutely loved the speed boat ride on our last day, but what was even more special we going to the local "cheese and ham" bazar/shop area after the boat ride, having a relaxing time and watching the people --- I love going to places that only locals know about :)
I wish you the best in your adventure business and your computer work.
THANKS AGAIN,
Changiz, San Francisco, USA

Dear Lucas,
I have now made it back to France. Susanna and I were put into First Class on the way back from Rio, which was great.
We really enjoyed our time in Iguassu with you. You are an excellent guide and the itinerary that you suggested was perfect. At no time did it feel hurried and yet with your help we packed far more into our trip than we could possibly have done on our own. The hotel that you suggested was also excellent. Thank you for making our trip so memorable. Susanna and I really regard you as a friend now and I look forward to showing you around my little bit of paradise if you ever make it to France.
My very best regards,
Rex, France

One of the most amazing things we saw in Brazil was Iguassu Falls, which lies on the border of Brazil and Argentina. I had researched online and found Lucas's website which helped us out a great deal to plan our trip. Some of the helpful tips on his website include how to dress, what to bring, what visas to apply for and when the best time is to travel to the falls. We decided to hire Lucas for 4 days after emailing him a few times and being given a temporary outline of what to expect if we hired him as our guide. Lucas helped us find accommodations at the Iguazu Jungle Lodge in Puerto Iguazu, Argentina. The place was wonderful with a spectacular view and great service. He has years of experience to help you discover more sights than you could possibly find on your own. He takes you only to the best locations so that you don't waste your time deciding what to see and what not to see. He is very trustworthy and you don't have to fear that you are being conned.
Lucas is one of the most passionate people we have met and really takes the time to make sure that you are enjoying yourself. Each day seemed to just get better. We were lucky enough to also be able to spend a day in Paraguay and see places that most people don't even know about that visit Iguassu Falls. If you don't hire Lucas as your guide you are truly not getting the full experience of seeing the falls. It's guaranteed that he will be adding a memorable encounter to your Brazil travel experience. Thank you for everything Lucas! My husband and I will never forget this experience!

Dear Lucas,
Ben and I want to thank you for being our guide during our recent trip to Iguassu Falls. Thank you for putting together this great adventure.
We enjoyed the trip, the food, and people and specially the falls, I can truly say that this was a life changing experience, and you did a wonderful job putting us in contact with nature; the atmosphere was pristine and you transmit such strong feelings for the purity of the environment. We still are a little bit in awe of the experience.
Thank you for your attention to detail, which made this trip most wonderful, everything was very organized and on time. We knew exactly what to expect (all your recommendations from lodging to restaurants were wonderful). We enjoyed having dinner with your wife. Thank you for your kindness, graciousness and ready laugh.
May the sun always rise in front of you and your journeys.

Dear Madam, dear sirs,
In my capacity as High Performance Director with Canoe Kayak Canada, I am traveling a lot and have to organize our National Teams’ travel, accommodation, meetings, ground transport, day trips etc.
Given, my first visit to Brazil, I appreciated Lucas Antuna’s help. He is an excellent insider to have on board.
Thanks to Lucas! I could rely on him as guide, negotiator and trustee – simply a well connected local.
He paved the way for our team to rental cars, a convenient Hotel, to cross the boarder to Argentina, guided us to the Iguassu Falls and provided us with exciting background information.
I take advantage of his continuous support. When we will come back in September, our team will enjoy his assistance.
Lucas is a trustworthy, loyal person. He managed independently the down payment for our hotel. He organized day trips to Argentina as well as to Paraguay.
I want to say thanks again for your assistance and help during the time of our training camp and race here in Foz do Iguassu.
Respectfully,
Sven Pinkert

Iguassu Falls Testimonials #12
Dear Lucas,
We want to thank you for the wonderful time we had when we visited the Iguassu Falls region and for you being our guide. The falls, of course, are spectacular and no doubt one of the wonders of the world. Seeing them from both the Brazilian and Argentine sides is a must. But the least informed traveler knows all that. What really made a difference on our Iguassu region adventure was having a guide like you who not only could take us to the various sights in the comfort of a private vehicle, but also, and more importantly, tell us about the various sights and the history, geology, politics, economy and sociology of the region. In particular, we enjoyed learning from you about the Guarani culture and their remarkable legends. Because you have lived in both Argentina and Paraguay, and have traveled extensively in Brazil, you were able to give us an insider’s view of the politics and economies of the three countries and how they and their natives interact in the region. Your excellent command of English was also most welcome.
Of course, we visited the typical fall sites. But our staying in Ciudad del Este made our trip especially interesting. This gave us the opportunity to see and experience that unique trading hub. The crossings of the Friendship Bridge between Paraguay to Brazil, and seeing the trading that goes on, was quite unique. Particularly enjoyable, and quite thrilling, was the beautiful crossing from Paraguay to Argentina by ferry, which allowed us to be just at about the point where Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay converge.
In spite of the bad rap that Ciudad del Este gets in the press, we are very glad we stayed there. The airport was not crowded and arrival and departure were expeditious. The hotel was excellent and inexpensive. We did not feel unsafe at any time. Of course, we followed your instructions and did not go out for walks at night out of the hotel. It was great to see some of the places patronized by the locals, since that’s the best way to begin to understand a culture or a city. By the way, the pizzas at the place you took us that particular evening were superb and very different from what you get in the U.S.
Finally, we thoroughly enjoyed exploring some of the sights on the Paraguay side, such as the Guarani museum and the incredible bird park. But particularly interesting and beautiful was the ride through the Paraguayan country side to the Bertoni Reserve, which took us through the vast soy plantations and many little farmers’ towns. Your explanation of the soy production and export industry was very enlightening. At the end of the trip, the house of Moises Bertoni and its history were also very interesting, and the sights of the Parana River were beautiful. We had the opportunity to see many Guaranis in their traditional housing, just as they have lived for centuries. We would never have had such experiences in a group organized tour or if we were going from sight to sight on the Argentine or Brazilian sides by bus. We have never been fans of crowded tour busses or organized tours, and your spacious vehicle, together with your personalized service, was a much better alternative.
In sum, we had a wonderful time and feel very lucky that we found you and that you were our guide.
Thanks again and best regards,

In October 2006, we travelled, with our 12 year old son, from Australia to South America for the first time. Our time in Argentina - in Buenos Aires and Puerto Iguazu and at Iguazu Falls was beyond our
expectations! Luckily we had discovered Lucas’ and his website beforehand!
Through the website, we discovered the magic of the place, and found excellent accommodation, restaurants and local attractions. Lucas also personally helped us plan, so we could make the most of our 3 day visit to the Falls. An added bonus was the help he gave us, prior to our exciting stay in Buenos Aires.
Having spent some time with Lucas and his family, I can happily tell you that the ‘cyber’ Lucas and the real Lucas are an exact match! He is trustworthy, genuine, delightful and passionate about what he does. What you see is what you get.
Happy travels,
Nell from Queensland, Australia
